As Hurricane Francine's outer bands lash Louisiana communities along the coast, thousands are dealing with power outages that began as early as Sunday morning.

Entergy, the primary electric provider for the region, shows that as of 7 a.m. Monday, more than 25,000 customers were without power, with the highest concentration of those outages in Lafourche and Terrebonne parishes.

Here's a look at how the outages are impacting the Baton Rouge area:

  • As of 7 a.m. Monday, more than 10,000 Entergy customers in East Baton Rouge Parish were without power.
  • In Ascension Parish, about 3,000 Entergy customers were without power.
  • In Iberville Parish, about 1,500 Entergy customers were without power.

Here's a look at how the outages are impacting areas near Baton Rouge:

  • In Livingston Parish, about 4,000 Entergy customers were without power.
  • In St. Helena Parish, about 1,200 Entergy customers were without power.
  • In Assumption Parish, about 1,000 Entergy customers were without power.

Entergy crews are working to restore power as quickly as possible, but they say that some customers may be without power for several days.
