Early Life and Political Career

Robert Fico was born on September 15, 1964, in Topoľčany, Czechoslovakia (now Slovakia). After graduating from law school, he entered politics and joined the Social Democratic Party of Slovakia (SDĽ).

Rise to Power

In 2006, Fico led the SDĽ to victory in the parliamentary elections, becoming the Prime Minister of Slovakia at the age of 42. He served as Prime Minister for two consecutive terms, from 2006 to 2010 and 2012 to 2018.
