West Ham United fell to Arsenal in a thrilling 2-1 match on May 1, 2022. The loss puts West Ham one point behind fifth-placed Arsenal in the Premier League standings.

Arsenal took the lead in the first half through a goal from Bukayo Saka. West Ham equalized in the second half through a goal from Jarrod Bowen, but Arsenal's Gabriel Martinelli scored the winning goal in the 87th minute.

The win moves Arsenal up to 29 points, one point ahead of West Ham. Arsenal will next face Newcastle United on May 4, while West Ham will face Manchester City on May 5.
